So for example, if the user enters 100, the program should print the following:

Instead of testing whether a number is a square, just generate all the squares. And you don't need to test if a number is even, because even squares are always the square of even numbers. So just increment by 2 instead of 1. – Barmar Mar 16 '17 at 20:46

The ** operator in python acts as a power operator. So, x-squared is basically x**2, and x**0.5 is square root of x.
n = int(input("Enter a number"))
for i in range(2, n**0.5+1, 2):
print(i**2)
