Server Tomcat v7.0 Server at localhost failed to start. The exception is the following:

I was facing the same issue on my tomcat7.0 server when running one of my project in eclipse. I saw that my project did not have the commons-logging jar. After adding the jar dependency and running the project again, the error was gone and tomcat server started successfully.
