Try this way this worked for me

 <LinearLayout
    android:layout_width="match_parent"
    android:layout_height="wrap_content"
    android:orientation="horizontal">

   <TextView
      android:layout_width="wrap_content"
      android:layout_height="wrap_content"
      android:layout_marginTop="3dp"
      android:text="Heelloos"
      android:layout_marginLeft="10dp"/>

   <View
      android:layout_width="150dp"
      android:layout_height="1dp"
      android:layout_gravity="bottom"
      android:background="#ff00ff"/>

 </LinearLayout>
