Is it possible to receive GCM notification in Android emulator?

Question

I have tried many ways to receive GCM notification in Android emulator But it fails.But for other emulators like Geny Motion it works why??

No it is not possible to receive push in emulator because in background it is using device unique id which emulator doesn't have
