Multi dimensional arrays in javascript

I'm hoping to get a clearer response on a question that has been asked before but one what has not been clearly defined for me. Maybe I am missing something.

I want to do anArray['some text'][0][0] = true. The first dimension of the array is to contain maximum of 4 values, the second dimension 7 and the third 24.

Can you help? This must be cross compatible, so Array(4, 7, 24) isn't suitable. I want to use []'s.

That first dimension means you don't have a 3-dimensional array. You have an object, containing 2-dimensional arrays. – Paul Roub Apr 23 '15 at 17:12
