I use this charset because it is the most complete one

<meta charset="UTF-8" />

  • "Save" your file as UTF-8 instead of ANSI. – Funk Forty Niner Apr 15 '15 at 16:39

  • I think that is the problem.. because the file is under us-ascii.. I will try to contact the support of my webhost thanks @Fred-ii- – Nic Apr 15 '15 at 16:41
  • You're welcome Nic. You can also save it yourself as UTF-8 using Notepad++ or other editors and re-upload it to your server via FTP. – Funk Forty Niner Apr 15 '15 at 16:42
  • They told me to use Windows-1252 instead, but some words with accents wouldn't load... so, great UTF-8 the other problem is that the collocation (the charset for mysql column) have problems with words with accents... I am using utf8_swedish_ci, what do you reconn? – Nic Apr 15 '15 at 19:00
