I'm using Entity Framework with SQL Server 2014.

Although we made the move to 2014 earlier this year, the database hasn't changed.

One of the tables (orders) has an automatic ID which is seeded to 1. This works but on a couple of occasions I've noticed it increment by approx 1000.

Any ideas what this might be - 1000 is a lot - the whole database only contains 4000 orders.
