  • This link will help you: [shapes](http://stackoverflow.com/questions/22042603/android-how-to-create-triangle-and-rectangle-shape-programatically) – JpCrow Nov 30 '14 at 18:35
  • Hi Alex, Try breaking it in more shapes.. ,like triangle, rectangle with round corners, circle.. have fun :) – Kanak Sony Nov 30 '14 at 18:40
  • but is't this bad for multiscreen layout ? – Alex Nov 30 '14 at 18:43
  • or i can create one layout file from 2 shapes , and then set the layout file as the bg of edit text? – Alex Nov 30 '14 at 18:44
  • Probably you can import it to Inkscape (https://inkscape.org/doc/tracing/tutorial-tracing.html) and save as an SVG. – Gábor Bakos Nov 30 '14 at 21:42
  • will it be ok with svg , from android 4.0 , i heard it's only good for 5.0 ? – Alex Nov 30 '14 at 22:30
  • @Alex SVG is just an xml format. I have just checked the link from JpCrow. Probably it does not correspond 1-to-1 to SVG, but it might be a good starting point. – Gábor Bakos Dec 01 '14 at 16:16
