I have a .bat file & a .sh file and I want it so when you launch it up for the first time it asks for you to open the needed file & it sets it for the rest of the uses like %files% . And you can change that in config located in appdata or something like it.

It needs to be .bat & .sh compatible, the code can be different for the programs. I have no other ideas of getting this to work.

  • I don't understand the question, try rephrasing what issue you're seeing – Alex Jun 17 '14 at 20:59
  • @Alex I want it so when you open it for the first time, it asks you for the location of a file. Then for the rest of the time, it references that somehow – user3745700 Jun 18 '14 at 19:16
