I'm currently building a shop for a customer (matresses and so on), based on WooCommerce and need to add two optional fees (selectable by user via checkbox) in the checkout process. For Shipping Methods I'm using "WooCommerce Table Rate Shipping" by Erica Dion and WooCommerce's Local Pickup Option.
Now I want to add two optional fees as a checkboxes (one for delivery on saturday and one for transportation to actual destination (not just transportation to the doorstep)) on the checkout page. When the user checks one of them, the fee needs to be added to the cart total.
Is there any plugin to achieve this? I've already thought of buying the "WooCommerce Cart Add-On and Cross–Sell" Extension. That way I could add the fees as products and set them as up-sell items on the checkout page, and would just have to change how these products are displayed (checkbox instead of "add"-button etc.).
The solution to this doesn't have to be pretty—It just has to work. Any ideas?
PS. I've searched for about five hours for a solution to my problem now, and haven't found any. This is my first time actually asking for something on stackoverflow. I've found so many solutions to problems here in the last years. If anything is wrong with my request, please let me know.
