Push notification examples

Question

I am new to iPhone development and I would like to learn how to code push notifications.

Could someone point me in the right direction?

Can someone provide me with some good links to where I can learn this? I have found many examples using Google, but haven't come up with anything good.

Or, If you want a more user friendly introduction - Look on iTunesU for the Stanford CS193 iOS course. It's free and you can see a video of the lecture on push notifications.
