Popup from a jsf page with jsf controls

i have a very basic question regarding jsf . I tried finding it on the net but didnt get appropriate information.

I need a small popup window to be opened on the click of a button in jsf page. The window also need to follow the jsf implementation ie i need some checkboxes and a button on the popup window and would also need to apply jquery on the popup submit button.

Do i need different beans for the main page and the popup ? Does the xhtml page needs to be different for the popup or can be contained within the main page.?

I read that there might be some issues in some browser regarding popup blocker. Can i avoid that ?

How to go about it?

Any suggestions??

Also, if i have to link the dialog box from inside a primefaces dataTable then would i just have to write "dlg.show()" (dlg being the id of the p:dialog which is outside the datatable) or would it require something else appended to it too ?? like the form id ?? – Karanveer Singh Sodhi Apr 11 '12 at 04:50
