Aiming for the 24

Question

6 1 3 4 = ??

Using four basic math signs (+, -, *, /) and brackets, for instance:

6 * (1 + 3) - 4 = 20

6 * 1 * 3 + 4 = 22

6 + 13 + 4 = 23

(6 + 1)* 3 + 4 = 25

61 - 34 = 27

Try to achieve 24.

In questions like these, is the // operator accepted? It's just a combination of the / operation after all. In that case, 61 // 3 + 4 works. — Jeremy Weirich, Jul 27 '18 at 15:55

One possible solution is

$24 = \frac{6}{1 - \frac{3}{4}}$

In the original notation

6/(1-(3/4)) = 24
