Inspired by TV Title Mondegreens, I, too, came up with a similar puzzle. It is still based on Mondegreens, obviously, but with video-games!

Each of these 10 descriptions will lead you to a (weird) phrase or sequence of words wich, when (badly) misheard, will give you the name of the game.

As an example :
An insolent boxing Apollo
would give:
A sassy Creed -> Assassin's creed

And here are the ten clues to find out:

  1. Chubbier, next not heavy (found by @Saeïdryl)
  2. Goku's friend wheat powder (found by @Saeïdryl)
  3. Legolas' dishonesty (found by @Paige Meinke)
  4. The Iron man's father balloon for showing-off (found by @gnovice)
  5. Hot beverage for Spartacus' fellows (found by @gnovice)
  6. Higher cute marsupial (found by @gnovice)
  7. Mixed great geographic feature (found by @Milo P)
  8. The 18th Ulysses, the 6th, the 15th and the greek 19th (found by @Gustavo Gabriel)
  9. Assault a person (found by @gnovice)
  10. Evening meal animal flesh in hot water (found by @gnovice)

Some may be easy, and some may be far-fetched. Let's see how much you get!

  • @Saeïdryl Wolf-stain ? – Ander Biguri Mar 13 '18 at 14:32
  • @Saeïdryl Wolven stain -> Wolfenstein ? – Keelhaul Mar 13 '18 at 14:35
  • Yes, I thought about it while "reverse-thinking" your descriptions – Saeïdryl Mar 13 '18 at 14:38
  • It would probably be rude to condense everyone's partial answer into one answer.. – A.B. Mar 13 '18 at 15:01
  • After 1 hour, seven of these have already been found ! The 4, 5 & 7 are still missing – Keelhaul Mar 13 '18 at 15:03
  • @A.B. More often that not, resolving a puzzle is a group effort, the check mark will be awarded to the one making the effort to condense all the answers while participating in their elaboration ;) – Keelhaul Mar 13 '18 at 15:05
  • @Keelhaul Is it possible to condense them all into a "wiki" answer? I have no idea of when they are applied – Saeïdryl Mar 13 '18 at 15:20
  • @Saeïdryl I added the names of who found what – Keelhaul Mar 13 '18 at 15:42
  • Just to get out of the way, number 4 isn't "The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion", is it? – Gustavo Gabriel Mar 13 '18 at 16:43
  • Nope, it isn't... – Keelhaul Mar 13 '18 at 17:51
  • 4 is proving tricky! – gnovice Mar 13 '18 at 17:53
  • Maybe a little hint? ;) – Gustavo Gabriel Mar 13 '18 at 17:53
  • No need, @gnovice finally cracked it ;) – Keelhaul Mar 13 '18 at 18:29
  • I just saw this! Very cool! – user1118321 Mar 14 '18 at 04:58
