This is the first question for the new Fortnightly Topic Challenge #5: Literature. My inspiration source was a TV show.

I wanted to read some books during holidays, so a friend sent me a list of some international classic books. Unfortunately he recently discovered Emoji's, and most of his communication attempts look like this:

I felt very stupid for getting 5 last by a fair bit when I had 8 as my first answer! Enjoyed it quite a lot, though - a puzzle doesn't have to be hard to be well designed. – Zerris Nov 22 '15 at 16:22
