I have a Ph.D. in Greek from Göteborgs universitet in Sweden. My focus was early Christian / Patristics. My B.A. was in Greek, Latin and Hebrew.

My dissertation dealt with Clement of Alexandria, Eusebius and Theodoret.

Since you can't make a living at with that background, unless you are very focussed and lucky, I earned my living in modern, computational linguistics.
