Hermeneutics is the science and methodology of interpreting texts, especially the books of the Bible. The process entails several levels of understanding to determine the author’s intent. Applied to the Bible, it means getting into the mind of the author of the Bible, who is YaHavah, and requires His consent and presence by His all-pervading Spirit.

The use of Bible hermeneutics helps to weed out the selfish factor of human understanding. What remains is a deeper understanding of the personal relationship between YaHavah, Jesus Christ, and Believer; that perhaps, is the finer point of the Judeo/Christian Bible and purpose of this version of the Bible.

STANDARDS: 1.Seek YaHavah’s understanding 2.First pray, asking for YaHavah’s counsel, wisdom, understanding, and knowledge 3.Allow the Bible to narrate and YHVH’s Spirit to interpret 4.Test the spirit of applied teachings and doctrines by YHVH’s Spirit and the Word

CONFIRMATION: 1.Study the context of the passage and the theme of the book 2.Look up the contextual meaning of each in the original languages (An online Bible with Strong’s Dictionary Concordance, such as E-sword.net is very useful) 3.Note the verb tenses, the cases, and other grammar 4.Learn the cultural setting of the passage 5.Check out cross-references to determine use in other contexts (See how the Bible presents the first mention of the word or topic) 6.Confirm an interpretation with two or three similar passages
