Lore

Remains of the Kingdom

Remains of the once prosperous Torhid Kingdom. The people of the kingdom suffered great losses at the force of the divine retribution, causing them to flee Starke Island in droves. Outlaws, unafraid of a second divine retribution, now occupy the abandoned homes.

Divine Retribution's Scar

The ruins caused from the attack that destroyed the Torhid Kingdom. A pillar of light descended from the heavens, sending person, kingdom, and island alike to the bottom of the skies. It is said that the voices of those who died in the attack can still be heard crying out in resentment.

Tower of Hope

An observatory that stood through the rise and fall of the Torhid Kingdom. It miraculously survived through the impressive destruction of the divine retribution. Named the Tower of Hope to symbolize the eventual rebirth of the kingdom, it lost its significance after the Nalhegrande Skydom was embroiled in war.

Heavenly Radiance

A giant pillar of light cast from the heavens was the deathblow for the rotten Torhid Kingdom. People, unsure of the cause, thought it an act of god and thus dubbed the event "divine retribution." However, there are accounts of those who say they saw the Great Wall momentarily wrapped in light after the divine retribution was over.

Strategy[edit]

The key to defeating Gilbert is compensating for his mechanical gimmicks. His damage and health is not exceptionally difficult to endure otherwise.

As a result, it does not require an exceptional grid, but demands very specific character/summon utilities.

The major gimmicks with suggested counters are as follows:

  • All Phases - Gilbert periodically gains powerful local buffs
  • All Phases - Gilbert casts a very punishing trigger (Theatre of Pain) if he has less than 6 (7 in Phase 3) debuffs at the end of each turn
  • Phase Changes (70%, 30%) - Gilbert removes all debuffs on himself
