Hey, I'm Tsuchinoko! People call me a cryptid, but I'm alive and real enough to be breathin' in these skies. Well, I guess they can't help but assume I'm only the stuff of legends. After all, I'm not stupid enough to show myself in front of mortals!

Gameplay Notes

There is a chance for every battle to find a Tsuchinoko Skin. It can be sold for 50,000 rupies in the Shop.
Multiple copies of Tsuchinoko do not stack, even if they're equipped separately as main and sub summons.

Tsuchinoko is a snake-like being.
The name tsuchinoko is prevalent in Western Japan, including Kansai and Shikoku; the creature is known as bachi hebi (バチヘビ) in Northeastern Japan.
According to legend, some tsuchinoko have the ability to speak and a propensity for lying, and they are also said to have a taste for alcohol.

The term "cryptid" means "an animal whose existence or survival is disputed or unsubstantiated".^[1]
In Japanese version, the series' name is "UMA Series" (UMAシリーズ). UMA is the acronym of "unidentified mysterious animal".
Tsuchinoko (ツチノコ or 槌の子) is Japanese, and literally translates as "child of hammer".
