Sen=Character Release
山奥の小さな村で生まれ育ったエルーンの少女。派手な見た目に反して、大人しく真面目な性格。温厚で物腰もやわらかく、誰に対しても人あたりがいい。 村の周りの山や森が庭のようなもので、毎日そこを駆け回っていたため、身体能力が非常に高く、格闘術にも秀でている。高い崖を登って食物を集めたりするのに便利なように、両手に爪をつけている。 基本的に物静かで、しっかりしているように見えるが、実は結構単純。しかも田舎育ちなので、少々常識知らずなところがある。それ故に時々、仲間を驚かせるような突拍子のない行動をとったりする。 その突拍子のない行動がとても自由で気まぐれであるが故に、周りからは「猫のようだ」と言われることが多々あり、”語尾に「にゃ」とつけてよ”といじられることも。 本人は恥ずかしがりながらも、要望に応えてくれる。という流れは村の風物詩と化していた。 Character Release |

Mountain Girl[edit]
(Captain) and company arrive at a remote village to complete a mission. They meet Sen, a girl who displays cat-like mannerisms toward the villagers. Burning with the desire to see the world outside of her village, she asks to join the crew. She lacks common sense, but the crew gladly takes her in.
Vyrn: Hey... Are we there yet?
Lyria: This mountain trail is something else...
The crew are on a mission to deliver goods to a village in the middle of the mountains.
Vyrn: Sigh... Is this really even the right way?
The crew traverse a trackless and treacherous path, hardly able to catch their breath.
Lyria: Did... you hear that?
Vyrn: Hm? Hear what?
Vyrn: Agh! What is that! A monster?
Lyria: It's close!
Lyria: Aaahh!
???: Whoa!
Vyrn: Aaagh!
Wait a sec.
Wait a sec.
Lyria: Hm? Who is that person...
An Erune dashes through the trees at a shocking pace.
???: Right then...
The lovely girl straightens her back and bows deeply in apology.
???: Ahem. Good day!
Lyria: Hi!
Vyrn: Sup!
Wait! You scare us and then just say hello like you didn't do nothin' wrong!

???: Oh. I'm sorry.
Vyrn: So what's the deal, sister? Why are you out here all alone in the middle of nowhere?
???: I live in the village ahead. My name is Sen.
Lyria: I see! Hi, Sen. My name is Lyria. And this is (Captain) and Vyrn!
Vyrn: Hey! You're from the village? That's the whole reason we're here!
(Captain) and crew explain what brought them to the mountain.
Sen: It isn't much farther from here. Follow me.
Sen: Just a little more. The trail is slippery, so be careful.
Vyrn: Thanks! This helps a lot!
Lyria: Thank you very much, Sen!
Sen: Not to worry. It's this way.
Lyria: Wow! Wait... How are we...
A huge cliff towers over the crew. There's nothing resembling a road in sight.
Vyrn: Uh... All I see is a cliff... Is there a secret passage or somethin' nearby?
Sen: No. We're going to climb this to get to the village.
Sen points to the cliff matter-of-factly.
Vyrn: Come on, there's no way we can climb that!
Lyria: I agree... It doesn't look possible.
Sen: Hm? Are you saying you don't climb things on a daily basis?
Lyria: No... I've never climbed anything like this before.
Vyrn: I mean... I could fly, so it's no big deal for me. But it might be tough for these guys.
Sen: I see... I'm sorry. Then please wait here for a moment.
Sen sincerely apologizes, and then begins scaling the cliffside with extreme proficiency.
Vyrn: She's amazing...
Lyria: Oh! That's what those claws are for. She's kind of like a cat.
Vyrn: Haha! Sure is. She's quick on her claws!
Sen comes back with a ladder for the crew to use, allowing them to scale the cliff and reach the village.
Vyrn: Phew... This mission is done!
Lyria: Hehe. And we have Sen to thank for that!
Vyrn: Yeah! We gotta find her and say thanks.
???: Aaah!
A scream is heard not far from where the crew is.
Monster: !
Vyrn: Ugh! A monster! Let's get going, (Captain)!
Before (Captain) and crew can save the day, a small shadow strikes.
Sen: Haaa!
Monster: !
Sen: Whew. Is everyone okay?
Villager 1: No! Thank you, Sen! But that's not your normal line!
Sen: Huh? Oh... Uh... I made it in the nick of time... Meow.
Villager 1: Hahaha! Yes, yes! Just like that!
Sen: Sigh...
Vyrn: Uh... I wonder what they were talking about. Eh, whatever.
Vyrn: Sen, you're amazing! You beat that thing in one blow!
Lyria: Wow, Sen! You're so strong!
Sen: Oh, not really. I'm just used to the monsters around these parts.
Vyrn: Hey! Cut the crap, (Captain)!
Choose: I could've done that.Lyria: Hehe. We know you're strong too, (Captain), but so is Sen.
Choose: That was cool!
Lyria: Yeah! I think so too!
Continue 1Vyrn: Yup! That was pretty awesome!
Sen: But... I just...
Sen: I... have to go...
Vyrn: Uh-oh... We musta embarrassed her.
Lyria: Hehe. She's a good, strong person. And adorable too!
After the crew finish the task at hand they leave the town only to find Sen once more.
Sen: Um...
Lyria: Oh, Sen. What's wrong?
Sen: I heard you're all skyfarers. Will you be traveling the skies after this?
Vyrn: Yeah, sure will. (Captain)'s our leader, and we've still got lots to see.
Sen: In that case... would you mind taking me along with you?
Lyria: Huh? You want to come with us?
Sen: I do. I love living here, but I've always wanted to see the skies beyond.
Sen: And I can fight using my martial arts. I won't be a burden. I promise. Please make me a crew member!
Choose: Welcome aboard.
Vyrn: Heh heh! If (Captain) says so, we won't stop ya!
Lyria: Fantastic! It'll be great having you with us, Sen!
Choose: Are you sure you're ready for this?
Sen: Th-thank you!
Vyrn: Why you gotta be that way. Don't mind (Captain). That's a "welcome aboard" in code!
Continue 2Sen: Okay... Thank you!
Just as Sen lowers her head in thanks, a villager approaches and lightly taps her on the shoulder.
Villager 2: Sen! So you're going on a journey?
Sen: Yes, I'm going to travel with these skyfarers.
Villager 2: I see. We'll be sad to see you go, but you've always wanted to see the blue beyond. Stay safe, you hear?
Sen: I will do that. Thank you.
Villager 2: Oh, but do that thing you do one last time for me.
Sen: Really... Right now?
Villager 2: Come on. I won't be able to hear your voice again until who knows when.
Vyrn: Hm? What's he talking about?
Lyria: I wonder...
Sen: Sigh... Okay. I'm off to see the world beyond... Meow.
Villager 2: Hahaha! Goodbye then, Sen.
The villager pats the embarrassed Sen on the back one more time and then leaves.
Vyrn: Could you tell us what just happened? Why'd you meow? You did that after you beat the monster too.
Sen: Um... Ever since I can remember, I've been told I look like a cat and asked to meow.
Sen: But I still feel a little funny about it...
Vyrn: Gotcha! So they think you look like a cat too, huh?
Sen: Do you also think I look like one of those ferocious beasts?
Lyria: Huh? Ferocious? What do you mean?
Sen tells the group that she has never seen any cat aside from those that roam the mountains.
Lyria: Oh... But there are much cuter and smaller cats out in the skies!
Sen: Really?
Vyrn: Yeah! Once you come with us, we'll show you!
Vyrn: And I don't really know you or anything, but you're a team player for saying stuff you don't wanna.
With Sen's help, the crew is able to quickly traverse the land.
Sen: We'll be at the foot of the mountain soon.
Vyrn: For real? You're not gonna make us try to climb stuff again, right?
Sen: Don't worry. I remember that climbing is not your specialty.
Sen: Wait.
Vyrn: Hm? What's up?
Sen: Shh... Be quiet.
Sen scans the area with a serious look on her face.
Lyria: Is there a monster nearby?
Sen: Gasp! There it is!
Beyond the trees, the crew can now see a large boar.
Sen: I'm going to get it!
Vyrn: Hey! And she's gone...
Lyria: Sure is... From behind she really does look like a cat...
The crew stares blankly at the trees where Sen was last seen.
Vyrn: So, we can't really go anywhere 'cause we might get lost. Let's wait here.
Soon enough, Sen reappears.
Lyria: Oh! Sen!
Sen: Hi, Lyria! Look at this, everyone!
Sen appears like a veteran from the forest dragging a giant boar behind her.
Vyrn: Whoa!
Sen: The boars during this season are really tasty.
Vyrn: You don't say... You're one of those way-stronger-than-you-look types, aren't you?
Sen: What? Something the matter? Do you dislike boars?
Lyria: N-no... Not that...
Vyrn: I mean, thanks for the boar and all... But if you just go running off by yourself, you're gonna worry us.
Sen: Oh, you have a point... I'm sorry. I'll be more considerate next time.
And so Sen, polite though somewhat lacking in common sense, joins the crew.
It will be some time before this mountain girl adjusts to life on the outside with the crew.
One Cool Cat[edit]
Lyria and Vyrn worry about Sen, who is napping outside on a cold day. Luckily, Sen is skilled at finding warm spots to rest in, and shows Lyria her technique. Vyrn and Lyria's discussion about Sen's resemblance to a cat is cut short by a monster attack.
The air is a bit chilly this day.
Vyrn: Yo, Sen! Whatcha doin—
Hm?
Hm?
Sen: Zzz... Zzz...
Lyria: I think she's taking a cat nap. She's going to catch a cold though.
Vyrn: Alrighty. I'll just wake her. Hey! Sen!
Sen: Grumble... Ngh... Oh, it's you, Vyrn. Hi, Lyria.
Vyrn: Hey there. You finally awake?
Sen: Yes. Good morning. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Lyria: It's not an inconvenience. But you could catch a cold.
Sen: But... it's so warm here.
Sen shows Lyria that the spot she slept in was directly hit by sunshine.
Lyria: Oh? It is really warm here! You're good at finding places like this.
Vyrn: Hehe. So she is. That's why some people think you remind 'em of a cat.
Vyrn: Hey! Do that thing... that meowing you did from before.
Sen: Uh... I...
Vyrn: Come on!
Sen: Mrm... Okay... Meow... How was that... Meow...
Lyria: Ahh... How cute! Just like a cat!
Sen: Erm... This is so embarrassing...
Vyrn: Haha! But it's who you are!
It's during this comical exchange that the Grandcypher begins to shake.
Lyria: Ah! What's happening?
Vyrn: Look! A monster!
Sen: (Captain), let's go!
One Cool Cat: Scene 2[edit]
Having been raised in the wilderness, Sen is not used to being around large crowds. As the crew walks down a busy street, a thief grabs a purse and the crew gives chase. Thinking quickly, Sen climbs up to the rooftops to cut off the thief while the crew traps him from behind.
Sen: Phew... We won...
Vyrn: Good job! You pack a mean punch.
Hey! I can see our next island!
Hey! I can see our next island!
The crew stop off on the island to restock their supplies.
Sen: Wow... What a big town. There are so many people...
Sen's eyes move at light speed trying to take in the large crowds moving through the street.
Vyrn: Right... You're not used to seeing so many people at once.
Sen: In the mountains, we never get anything like this. Oh, (Captain), wait!
Sen grabs onto (Captain)'s clothing and tries to hide as they continue to stroll through the street.
Vyrn: I guess you could say the cat got your tongue!
Lyria: Hm? What do you mean by that?
Vyrn: I was making a—
???: Aaah! Stop him! He stole my bag!
The crew hears a woman screaming.
Vyrn: What the heck! Did ya hear that?
Lyria: Oh no! Is that the thief over there?
Sen: Let's go, (Captain)! We have to catch him!
The crew pursues the thief.
Vyrn: Shoot! He's getting away!
Lyria: He's gonna try to lose us in that narrow alleyway!
Sen: (Captain)! Let's do a pincer attack!
Vyrn: What? But how...
Sen: I'll go around that side!
Sen begins scaling the wall with her claws to get to the other side of the road.
Vyrn: Look at her go... All right! Now we gotta do our part!
One Cool Cat: Scene 3[edit]
The purse snatcher is apprehended. The people in the streets who witnessed Sen's incredible movements heap praise upon her. Embarrassed, she hastily escapes from the adulation back to the Grandcypher. When the crew returns, she snuggles up to the warmth of Lyria and (Captain), warming everyone's hearts.
The crew successfully captures the thief and turns him over to the local authorities.
Woman: Thank you so much.
Vyrn: Nothin' to it!
Sen: I'm glad you and your belongings are in one piece.
Woman: Yes. I was very fortunate.
Passerby 1: Missy! You were something else!
Sen: Huh? Me?
Passerby 2: Yeah! I saw it all! You climbed up that wall like a spider!
Passerby 1: It was nothing like I've ever seen before.
Little Kid: You're so cool! How'd you do that?
Sen: I... Well...
Surrounded by people so suddenly, Sen begins to clam up.
Vyrn: This ain't looking good for Sen...
Sen: I... I have to go now!
Passerby 2: Wow! She's doing it again!
Sen flees to the top of a building by climbing up its wall.
Little Kid: Ahaha! Amazing!
Vyrn: And she's gone again. She's not so good in the limelight, so I guess that's her natural reaction.
The crew returns to the Grandcypher. Sen timidly pokes her head out to greet them.
Sen: Welcome... back...
Lyria: Hi, Sen! I'm glad you made it back safely.
Sen: I'm sorry that I ran off... Achoo!
Lyria: Sen, are you okay?
Vyrn: She don't look it. It is starting to get chilly.
Sen: Cold weather is no friend of mine...
Sen squeezes in between Lyria and (Captain) for warmth.
Lyria: Sen? What are you doing?
Sen: Hehe. You're both so warm. I feel better already... Meow.
Sen smiles as she rubs her head against her warm crew members. To fight the cold winter to come, their warmth may be all she needs.
To Be A Cat[edit]
Sen is on the deck with one of Dante's cats. She tries befriending the feline, which to her astonishment replies with encouraging words. After a short conversation, Sen then falls asleep. Dante explains to Vyrn that he had been speaking the cat's thoughts for Sen.
Sen: Ah, nice and toasty!
Sen stretches out on the deck of the Grandcypher, squinting up into the limpid blue sky.
Sen: A perfect day for... Huh?
Cat: ...
Sen: Oh, you must be one of Dante's.
Sen finds a cat curled up where she'd hoped to lay. After a moment's thought, she steps back and sits, knees pulled to her chest.
Dante's Cat: ...
The cat glances up at Sen, who fixes her posture ever so slightly.
Sen: Um, er... Hello! Mind if I sit here?
Dante's Cat: ...
The feline responds with a yawn and buries its head.
Sen: Hm...
Sen: (Lyria always pets you and talks to you, doesn't she? Her and everyone else...)
Sen: (Maybe you and me can be friends, too. Guess I've just gotta talk.)
Sen: So, uh... Sure is warm here.
Dante's Cat: ...
Sen: I'm Sen!
Dante's Cat: ...
Sen: People always tell me I'm like a cat. Honestly, I don't get it.
Sen: I thought, y'know, maybe if I hung out with a cat...
Dante's Cat: ...
Sen: Back in the woods where I'm from, there aren't any cats. Just the big, wild ones.
Sen: It's good to be here on the ship with a cat like you.
Sen: Meow.
Sen smiles at the reactionless cat and blushes slightly.
Sen: Heh... I'm being a chatterbox. Sorry to bother you while you're sunbathing.
Dante's Cat: No, not at all. You're bothering no one.
Sen: Whoa! Was that really you, Kitty?
Dante's Cat: Yes, and what of it?
Sen: Wow! Uh... Mukuta?
Dante's Cat: As a matter of fact, I am Rivera.
Sen: Oops! Sorry, Rivera.
Rivera: Think nothing of it.
Sen: This is just—I mean, a tiny little cat like you, talking!
Sen: That's it! That's got to be why they say I'm like a cat.
Rivera: It's weighing heavily on you, isn't it?
Sen: I'm just like, how am I like a cat? They're always saying I am.
Rivera: It's truly nothing to concern yourself with.
Sen: Really? You think so?
Rivera: I do indeed. Your friends adore your most catlike feature—your free spirit.
Sen: Hmm... My free spirit.
Rivera: More than whiskers or love of the hunt, it's what makes a cat, a cat.
Sen: This free spirit stuff sounds cool. Guess I've got a lot to learn.
Rivera: As I said, you needn't worry. Simply be yourself.
Sen: Y'know, maybe you're right. Thanks a bunch, Rivera!
Rivera: But of course.
Sen: Aaaah, I feel sleepy. It's so nice and warm...
Sen: Rivera, I... I uh...
Rivera: ...
Lying on her side, Sen curls into a ball. Off to her side, Rivera blinks and yawns.
Dante: Hrm.
Vyrn: What're you doing, old man?
Dante: Oh, it's you, Vyrn.
Vyrn: What's with the cat act? You had Sen thinking the furball could talk!
Vyrn: You oughta just chat with her—no pretending you're a cat!
Dante: I didn't pretend to be anything.
Vyrn: Oh yeah? Then what was that?
Dante: The speech was mine, but the words were Lord Rivera's.
Vyrn: Sounds like the same thing to me!
Vyrn: And either way, Sen still fell asleep talking to a cat!
Sen: Hmm... Urmph...
Vyrn: Sure, she looks like she's got it together. But she's pretty quirky!
Dante: Yes, her heart is gentle and free.
Dante: She and Rivera have much in common.
Vyrn: Hehehe! No one would know better than you, old man. I guess she really is like a cat!
As the two converse, a patch of sun advances past the sleeping Sen.
Rivera: Meow...
Rivera stands and stretches deeply, then returns to Sen's side.
Rivera: Meow.
The cat sidles up beside Sen, and curls back into a ball.
Dante: Yes, Lord Rivera seems to feel a sense of kinship with her.
Sen: Ha... So toasty... So furry... So...
Vyrn: Well, isn't everyone nice and happy!
From that day forward, Sen began sunbathing alongside Dante's cats.
