Rosetta=Granblue Fantasy Theater
A mysterious beauty who suddenly appears before you during your travels, Rosetta seems to know the truth about many mysteries pertinent to your quest. Despite that, she often speaks in generalities and largely acts as a mere bystander. Under her exterior, Rosetta is the incarnation of the primal beast Rose Queen, and is in contact with both you and the Black Knight. She Who Laments the Summer[edit]
After taking on countless requests, the crew are out of energy and so decide to relax in Auguste. While everyone else seems happy with the prospect, Rosetta appears blue. Io chooses a swimsuit for her and they head off, unaware of the sadness that hides in Rosetta's heart.
The crew finishes a tough mission on a warm summer day.
Vyrn: Gosh... That was so much work... I'm beat.
Lyria: Me too... We've just been so busy recently...
Io: I'm sick of busting my butt... I need some me time already.
Rosetta: Look at all the tired faces... But at least we're done with the heavy lifting.
Lyria: Good point! That was a lot to do, but now our plate is clear.
Vyrn: Really? Awesome, 'cuz I need a break.
Io: I totally agree with the lizard!
Vyrn: I ain't no...
Vyrn: Sigh... I'm too pooped to fight back...
With the large volume of tasks as of late, the crew has reached the point of exhaustion.
Rosetta: Well then... I think we should take some time off.
Rosetta: Do you have any ideas, (Captain)?
Choose: Let's go to Auguste!
Lyria: What? Auguste?
Io: That's a great idea, (Captain)!
Vyrn: Auguste sounds like just the place to take a break!
Vyrn: They had this one juice... Can't remember the name of it, but I want some.
Io: Then it's decided! Everyone, get ready!
Lyria: Yeah!
Lyria: We'll need swimsuits, and floaties, and, um...
Vyrn: Just a second ago you were dead tired, but now you're doing a total one-eighty...
Io: Lizard! You wouldn't understand how much we need our relaxation time!
Vyrn: Hey! I ain't no dang lizard!
Rosetta: Hehehe... And now you're the one doing a one-eighty.
Vyrn: I'm not there yet...
Vyrn: But I will be once we get to Auguste... Haha!
Vyrn: I can feel myself starting to get pumped! How 'bout you, Rosetta?
Rosetta: Hm. I don't know...
Vyrn: Huh? Whatcha mean?
Rosetta: Oh, it's nothing. I just... need to get some sunscreen.
Rosetta: The sun is the skin's worst enemy, right?
Io: Y-yeah! Skin's worst enemy! We gotta protect ourselves!
Lyria: Umm... Do we really need to worry about getting sunburnt?
Io: Of course we do! It's what all refined people do.
Lyria: R-right! Then count me in!
Io: Once we're in our swimsui—
Io: Hm? Wait a second...
Io: Rosetta, do you even have a swimsuit? I've never seen you in one before...
Rosetta: Oh no, I'm fine. As long as you all have fun, you don't have to worry about me.
Lyria: Ahh... Rosetta, you won't join us?
Io: After all that hard work we did, we should all be out in the sand enjoying the beach together...
Rosetta: Io...
Io: Do swimsuits bother you?
Rosetta: No, it's not that. I've had one before.
Io: Okay, great! Then let's all get ready to splash around!
Rosetta: ...
Rosetta: I suppose... All right. I'll wear a swimsuit too.
Io: Really?
Rosetta: Yes.
Io: Yay!
Lyria: Hehehe. Good job, Io. I want to see Rosetta in a swimsuit too!
Io: (Captain)! We need a swimsuit and some sunscreen for Rosetta! Let's stop by the Knickknack Shack!
Choose: Maybe tomorrow...
Io:
Io: No, now!
Choose: Don't pressure her.
Io: How are we supposed to have a proper cooldown without that! Come on, let's get going!
Io: Now!
Continue 1Forced by Io, the crew set off for the Knickknack Shack.
Lyria: Io, what do you think of this?
Io: That's good, but look at this...
Lyria: That's lovely!
Io: And to help Rosetta combat the sun, we should also get her a hat, right?
Io: What if we get her a pareo for her waist too...
Lyria: Wow! Io, look at this. Doesn't this purse look like something beautiful a grown-up would own?
Io: Oh my gosh! That would be perfect for Rosetta!
Io: Now we'll need to add some more accessories! Just to make sure it all comes together!
Lyria: Great idea!
Io and Lyria spend a great deal of time picking out a swimsuit ensemble for Rosetta.
Vyrn: So... I thought this was supposed to be a vacation. This is harder than all our missions combined...
The two either don't hear Vyrn's complaint or choose to ignore it completely.
Rosetta: Hehehe. The energy exuding from those two is making me really excited. I'm glad I came.
Vyrn: Really? Guess I'll deal with it a little more then...
Vyrn: But I don't really get how choosing someone else's swimsuit could be that much fun...
Rosetta: Choice is something everyone loves. Some people equate having choice with control, and control makes us feel powerful—it makes us feel alive.
Vyrn: That makes no sense...
In the midst of choosing, Io takes a swimsuit from the rack and pauses.
Io: ...
Lyria: What's wrong, Io?
Io: This is it.
Vyrn: Hm... Why that one?
Io: Wha? I... I don't know.
Vyrn: What the heck!
Io: But I don't need to know. The moment I saw this, I knew it was meant for Rosetta!
Rosetta: Then let me try it on. If it's my size, I'll buy it.
Io: Really?
Rosetta: Sure. I trust your instincts much more than I trust my own.
Io: Hehehe...
Rosetta takes the swimsuit and enters the changing room.
Rosetta: I'm coming out.
Vyrn: Whoa.
Lyria: Wow!
Io: Gasp!
Lyria: ...
Io: ...
Rosetta: ...?
H-how do I look?
H-how do I look?
Lyria: I-it's... You're just so beautiful...
Io: Y-you just caught me off guard, but...
Io: That looks amazing on you!
Rosetta: Is that so? Hehehe... Everyone was so quiet, I felt like something was off.
Vyrn: I don't know much about swimsuits, but yowza is all I got to say! Right, (Captain)?
Choose: Not bad...
Rosetta: Hehehe... So you like it too, (Captain)?
Rosetta: Looks like this was the right choice after all.
Choose: I think I'm in love...
Rosetta: Hehehe... I never thought I'd hear those words from you, (Captain).
Rosetta: Careful—I'm not even wearing my sunscreen yet. I might just get burned by that red-hot gaze of yours.
Continue 2Rosetta: It's been so long since I've been in a swimsuit. I was a little anxious at first, but thanks to all of you, I feel much better.
Io: It's not just the swimsuit, you know! The hat and the pareo all look amaaazing on you!
Lyria: I second that! I need more words than pretty to describe how great you look!
Rosetta: Really... You all flatter me.
Io: This means we're totally ready! So...
Io: Off to Auguste!
Lyria: Yeah!
Vyrn: Sigh... Freakin' finally...
Vyrn: This better be a straight shot all the way to Auguste, ya hear! Haha!
And so the crew boards the airship and sets off for Auguste.
Rosetta: Things are going to get ugly...

Wanted! Repel Tactics![edit]
Once in Auguste, Rosetta's new outfit attracts the attention of not a few bad men. Rosetta recounts that she has never been able to enjoy any vacation while in a swimsuit due to how magnetically the sight of her draws men in. When Io sees Rosetta grow haughty and drive away some hoodlums, she has an idea that may just help.
The crew arrives in Auguste after buying Rosetta's swimsuit and sunscreen.
Io: We made it!
Lyria: Yay!
Vyrn: Haha! Hold your horses, you two!
Io: You hold your horses, mister!
Vyrn: I ain't got no horses! Haha!
Rosetta: ...
Vyrn: Rosetta, something up? Spread that lotion and let's get going!
Rosetta: May I have a moment of everyone's time? I need you all to listen to me very carefully.
Vyrn: Hm? What's with the stiff talk?
Rosetta: I just want all of you to know that no matter what happens to me, save yourselves and leave me behind.
Vyrn: What?
Lyria: Rosetta, why would you say that...
Io: Why so serious all of a sudden? Did you hit your head?
Rosetta: I'm sorry... I don't want to involve any of you in my personal problems.
Rosetta: Just know... that none of you will be able to help me.
Lyria: Rosetta...
Vyrn: Why ya treating us like we're not family all of a sudden? We'll always be able to hel—
Vyrn: Agh!
Sunbather 1: Sup, pretty lady! You new 'round these parts? How about I take you for a personal tour?
Sunbather 2: Hey, you! They got some really good grub over there! W-wanna grab some with me?
Sunbather 3: I've got a boat ready for the two of us. Let's pass the day on the waters... Whaddya say! Come on!
Sunbather 4: From the moment I saw you, I knew.
Before the crew even realize, Rosetta is completely surrounded.
Vyrn: What the! Why is everyone and their mama coming this way!
Rosetta: Sigh... I knew it... This is how it ends...
Lyria: Huh? Rosetta, is this what you were talking about earlier?
Io: S-she was talking about guys hitting on her?
Rosetta: Thank you, everyone. But I'm afraid I'm not on the menu. Today is reserved for my dearest friends.
Sunbather 1: Huh? W-wait!
(Captain) and crew take Rosetta away and enter the nearest house they find.
Vyrn: What was that...
Rosetta: I'm so sorry. That's what happens to me whenever I wear a swimsuit...
Rosetta: I didn't want to ruin the plans we had for our day off... So I couldn't bring myself to tell you all sooner...
Vyrn: Gosh... This is gonna be rough...
Lyria: But I think I understand how everyone feels! You're just too beautiful!
Io: Yeah... You're the ideal everyone wants!
Rosetta: But, Io... If this continues, we won't be able to have the relaxing day we planned.
Vyrn: She's right...
Io: Is this... all my fault? I made you put on a swimsuit even though you didn't want to...
Rosetta: No, don't blame yourself! I wanted to have fun with all of you on the beach together.
Io: But now we can't do anything we planned...
Vyrn: Yup...
(Captain) looks around.
Sunbather 1: ...
Sunbather 2: ...
Sunbathers: ...
Lyria: There's no way we'll get a break with them around...
The crew distance themselves from the men trying to woo Rosetta but continue to be watched.
Rosetta: Why don't you all go to the beach and have a good time. I'll be fine by myself here.
Io: No way! If you can't have fun, then neither can we!
Vyrn: But what can we do? They've got us beat in numbers, and fighting them would kinda kill the mood, ya know?
Io: So... what if... we make Rosetta less alluring?
Lyria: What! Make Rosetta... That's impossible!
Io: Not exactly... There must be some way...
Vyrn: I got it! Since the swimsuit is what's attracting the guys, let's have her change into something less sexy.
Rosetta: I guess that's not wrong... But...
Io: Heck to the no! This is our time, not theirs! I won't stand for this!
Lyria: Vyrn, how could you say something like that!
Vyrn: Whoa!
Vyrn: You don't gotta bite my head off for trying...
Choose: Get it together, Vyrn!
Vyrn: What? You too, (Captain)... I was only trying to help...
Choose: I think Vyrn is right.
Vyrn: See, you get me, (Captain). The simplest answer is usually the right one.
Io: Sigh... You don't understand anything. Sometimes you can be really oblivious, (Captain).
Continue 1Rosetta: I want to enjoy my time here in the outfit that Io and Lyria spent so much time picking out.
Io: I know we can think of something if we put our heads to it!
As long as the men on the prowl for Rosetta continue their pursuit, she cannot peacefully enjoy her vacation.
That's when it hits Io.
Hoodlum 1: Heyo! I heard there was a really fab chick in there. Let me get a good look at her!
A couple of street rats come barging into the house that the crew is in.
Hoodlum 2: B-Boss! Th-th-there's the one you want! That one there!
Hoodlum 2: That one there!
Rosetta: ...?
Hoodlum 1: ...!
Hoodlum 1: Phewie! Hot damn! That is a toot toot in the woot woot!
Rosetta: Come again? Are you talking about me?
Hoodlum 1: Yeah, you. You've got all the right bings in all the right bases. I've got butterballs all up in my sto-mack, yo!
Vyrn: What the heck is he talking about? Is he hitting on Rosetta or insulting her?
Io: Who cares... These guys are totes gross.
Hoodlum 1: Come on, chillax with your boys, sweet thing. Whaddya say? You and me and Auguste, baby
Rosetta: Hah. Sorry to burst your bubble, but I'm only here to spend time with those dearest to me.
Hoodlum 1: Wait, homegirl! We still got biz-nass to discuss with you. For startas, how about lettin' me in dat posse of yours? Whatcha say?
Lyria: Posse... You mean you want to join the crew?
Vyrn: I don't think that's what he meant...
Vyrn: Back off! We ain't got time for you creeps! We just wanna relax! Now get!
Hoodlum 1: Spits... My generation don't take poop-a-doop from no man, woman, or animal!
Hoodlum 1: Since you've gone and pissed me the flip off, I'ma let you have it. Get 'em!
Hoodlum 2: On it, Boss!
Rosetta: Stop!
Hoodlum 1: What? N-now you got something to say?
Hoodlum 1: I guess you're ready to pucker up those lips and take me for a spin, eh, babycakes?
Rosetta: Hah... Who do you think you're talking to? A man who tries to hurt my friends won't get anywhere with me.
Rosetta: But...
Hoodlum 1: But?
Rosetta: Even if you hadn't threatened my friend, you have the worst lines I've ever heard. Who do you think would go out with you after hearing all that?
Hoodlum 1: What?
Rosetta: Are you seriously saying you don't realize how badly that was going?
Rosetta: Your whole plan needs to be reworked from top to bottom. Do you understand what I'm saying?
Io: What she said!
Vyrn: Even I know a guy with no game when I see one...
Rosetta: Now that you know your place, how about leaving my sight?
Rosetta's eyes flicker with anger, causing the hoodlum to take a step back in fear.
Hoodlum 1: Tch... Whatevs. Peacez, beezies.
The pair of miscreants leave the house in a hurry.
Io: It doesn't look like we'll be able to have that quiet time we all wanted with these weirdos hanging around...
Rosetta: I'm sorry. This is all my fault.
Lyria: No... None of us blames you, Rosetta.
Vyrn: Yeah! You just got rid of those punks! You were on fire! Even I got a little scared.
Rosetta: Hehe. That's what happens when someone tries to hurt my friends. What kind of person stands for that?
Vyrn: Haha! You sent them packing with their tails between their legs!
Io: That's it!
Io: I know what we need to do!
Rosetta: What do you mean, Io?
Io: I've thought of something even more effective than making you less alluring! You'll love what I've come up with!
Io shares her epiphany with the crew, determined to make Rosetta undesirable.
But what exactly does she have in mind?
Wanted! Repel Tactics!: Scene 2[edit]
Io first decides to have Rosetta treat any man who approaches her badly. When that fails, Io spreads vicious rumors about Rosetta to lessen her popularity. All of Io's ideas fail and even lead to her being captured by a man who tries to use her as bait to get Rosetta. Rosetta has had it, and now all will see what true wrath looks like.
In order for the crew to fully enjoy their vacation time, they need to come up with a plan to keep creepers away.
While everyone puts on their thinking caps to solve this problem, it is Io who comes up with an applicable solution.
Vyrn: So whatcha gonna do to Rosetta?
Io: Just hear me out. Don't you think Rosetta was too nice to those guys from before?
Vyrn: Uh, when you put it like that... I guess she was? She could have just ignored them or something, but she made conversation...
Rosetta: But don't you think ignoring people is really mean?
Io: While I really do love that you're so nice to people...
Io: That's also a character flaw!
Io: Kindness gives these men the wrong idea!
Io: So you need to be the meanest you can be.
Lyria: The meanest Rosetta? What kind of things should she do instead?
Io: She's gotta be scary! Rawr! She's gotta be like a crazy cat lady that nobody wants to be near!
Io: Or something like that...
Lyria: Umm... But how would she do that?
Io: Just watch and learn! If Rosetta follows my lead, things will be okay!
Rosetta: Hehehe. This sounds like fun.
Vyrn: Are you serious? I'm just plain worried...
Rosetta: ...
Sunbather 1: Heya! Neat seeing you again! I may or may not have been listening to your conversation and heard your name was Rosetta. Am I right?
Sunbather 1: I've got something else I wanna tell ya... I don't think you should have come to Auguste...
Rosetta: What? Why?
Sunbather 1: Because the beauty of Auguste is completely overshadowed by you, girl!
Rosetta: Oh, that's cute...
Rosetta: Not. What kind of half-baked pick up line was that? Is that really the best thing you could come up with?
Rosetta: This conversation isn't worth my time. I'm already bored, and we just met.
Sunbather 1: ...!
Sunbather 2: Baby! You want a piece of this meat? I bought too much, so I'm looking to share some with you!
Rosetta: Did you really just try to come on to me with food? Do I look like a dog to you?
Rosetta: Oh, I get it. The heat's gotten to your head. Snap out of it. Do you think a man like you has any right to even talk to me?
Sunbather 2: So... you don't want my... meat?
Rosetta: The only thing I want from you is an apology. It's simple. Apologize and walk away. Even you can manage that, right?
Sunbather 2: I-I...
Sunbather 2: I'm sorry...
Rosetta: Hehe. Now that you've learned your lesson, don't ever try talking to me again.
Rosetta is doing just what Io instructed her to do—burn any man who comes her way to a crisp.
(Captain) and crew watch her from afar.
Io: Great!
Vyrn: What part of that was great? Now Rosetta is acting like a stuck-up butt-face!
Io: That's the plan. We want other people to think that's how she really is.
Vyrn: W-why...
Io: If Rosetta keeps being mean to people, then people will stop trying to talk to her.
Io: Then we can all have that vacation we keep talking about.
Vyrn: But... Is this really okay...
Io: Oh, look over there! Those are the guys Rosetta wasted. Let's go see how they feel about her now.
Sunbather 1: ...
Sunbather 2: ...
Lyria: Sigh... I feel bad for them... They're probably really hurt about the way they were rejected...
Vyrn: Who wouldn't be after how she talked to them...
Little do they know...
Sunbather 1: That was pretty good!
Sunbather 2: It was amazing!
Sunbather 1: Getting rejected just makes me want to try even harder! Let's stay on her tail! I hope she takes me as her prisoner and throws away the key!
Sunbather 2: That would be awesome! She's a stone-cold killer, and I want her all to myself!
Vyrn: Dude... They're happy!
Io: T-that's not right...
Vyrn: What the heck do we do now? They want her even more than before!
Io: D-don't worry! That was just phase one of my plan! Next up is phase two!
Sunbather 3: Pant... Pant... Where'd she go? Over there?
Sunbather 4: Nope... She's not on the beach anymore...
Io & Lyria: ...
Sunbather 3: Hm? Weren't those two hanging out with her earlier?
Io: So... about Rosetta...
Sunbather 4: Wait! Are they talking about my one and only?
Sunbather 3: Let's get closer and listen in!
Io: Rosetta was just bragging to me about how easily she brings all the boys to the yard...
Lyria: Uh... Let me see... O-oh, yes! She is a... terrible person. So... stuck-up... and stuff...
Lyria struggles to read Io's terrible handwriting from the script she was given earlier.
For phase two of Io's plan, Lyria and Io go around spreading vicious rumors about Rosetta all over town.
Lyria: She... plays with men... like toys... How bad... Bad... I say...
Sunbather 3: What? Stuck-up? Bad? Really?
Sunbather 4: She gives men the wrong idea on purpose just so she can play with their feelings? As a hobby?
Vyrn: Yay! They heard every word you two said! Now no one will like Rosetta!
Vyrn returns to listening to what the men have to say.
Sunbather 3: So that means she really believes she's a catch... Who doesn't love a woman with confidence!
Sunbather 4: And she plays with men like a little she-devil? Now I really gotta have her!
Vyrn: What is wrong with them!
Io learns from Vyrn that her second plan failed as well.
Io: Grr! I'm not done yet! (Captain), we're gonna need you to make some sacrifices! This means war!

Sunbather 1: You know, I keep seeing...
Sunbather 2: Rosetta alone with that one guy we saw earlier...
Rosetta: (Captain), how about we head to the shore next?
Rosetta: Hehe... This is one plan I like. Just you and me, (Captain). All alone on the beach...
(Captain) takes Rosetta's hand and bathes in the jealous looks from all around him as they walk along the shores of the beach.
Io: Initiate phase three: Rosetta puts on a show!
