Lucius (Fire)=Character Release
獣人のゴブリンの駆除を生業としていた剣士。妹のティナと共に各地を転々とする旅をしていた。過去に故郷の村がゴブリンの一団により蹂躙され滅ぼされた過去をもつ。また、その際に母を亡くしている。 憎き仇との決着がつき、長きにわたる復讐劇に終止符が打たれるも、長年復讐を遂げることを目的として生きてきたため、突然その目標を失ったことで生きる原動力をも失ってしまったと感じるようになっていく。 妹のティナが新たに掲げる「自分たちの様な不幸な兄妹が生まれない世界をつくりたい」という目標は難しいと感じており、また今のままの自分ではティナと明るい未来を歩んでいけないと、心の整理をつけるために、いずれティナの元へ戻ると約束し放浪の旅に出ることを決める。 Character Release |

The Aloof Swordsman[edit]
(Captain) and the others keep Lucius company on his goblin patrols on Midnight Island. They ask him to join the crew, but Lucius won't give them an answer until he completes his objective.
During their travels, (Captain) and company join a goblin extermination task force. They disembark on Midnight Island in pursuit of information on primal beasts.
Shrouded in the growing darkness of dusk, they finally arrive at the rendezvous point and begin to set up camp.
Vyrn: Good grief... I thought we were done after keeping watch, but now we've gotta go find Lucius... Feena's such a slave driver!
Lyria: Now, now, Vyrn. Feena and Teena have their hands tied cooking so it's up to us.
Vyrn: Well... Yeah, but what do I look like? Some kind of servant?
Monster: Groaaar!
Lyria: It's a monster! Please be careful, Vyrn!
Vyrn: Over there! C'mon, we'd better hurry, (Captain)!
Goblin: Gurgh...
Lucius: I thought I smelled a rat. So the fiends were lurking here, too.
Vyrn: Hey! You okay, Lucius?
Lucius: Oh... It's you people.
Lyria: What a relief! Looks like you're unhurt!
Lucius: Humph... While you people were spacing out or whatever, I wiped out all the goblins in this area.
Lyria: Um... The food should be just about ready. Why don't you come back with us?
Lucius: I'm going to continue to patrol this area. I can't allow even a single fiend to exist.
Lyria: Then can we come with you?
Lyria: It'd be lonely to be the only one without food! We'll all help you!
Lucius: Suit yourselves...
Vyrn: Aw, man... Fine, but if we don't wrap this up soon, Feena's gonna yell at me!
Lucius: ...
Vyrn: ...
Lyria: ...
Lyria: So is it true that you and Teena have been traveling together all this time?
Lucius: Yes...
Lyria: Wow! You two must really get along for siblings, huh?
Lucius: I guess.
Vyrn: Yeesh. I don't think I'd be able to deal with this stuffy atmosphere...
Lyria: Hmm... Um... Where will you two go after this is all over?
Lucius: I'm not thinking about the future... All I can think about is exterminating every last goblin on this island.
Lucius: You people should stop worrying about others so much and focus on how you'll make it to next week.
Lyria: We'll be fine. We have (Captain) after all. Right?
Vyrn: That's right! As long as we have (Captain), anything's a piece of cake!
Lucius: I'm stunned at how you're always putting others ahead of you.
Lucius: I've met many people in my time but none as nosy and meddling as you lot.
Lyria: Hehe. But thanks to that, we've gotten to know you, Lucius!
Lucius: Humph... I bet I'd never find peace if I traveled with your crew...
Vyrn: What's up, (Captain)? You got something to say to Lucius?
Lyria: Oh, I know! You want to invite Lucius to join the crew!
Lucius: What? You want me to join you?
Choose: Yes, do you want come with us?
Lucius: You're serious judging from that look in your eyes.
Lucius: But I can't answer you right away.
Choose: Would that be too nosy of me?
Lucius: Yes, very.
Lucius: But your eyes tell me you're serious about this.
Continue 1Lucius: All I can think about at the moment is exterminating those fiends. I'll give you my answer once I settle everything completely.
Lyria: Yay! Then that means Teena's coming too!
Lucius: Stop! I haven't agreed to come with you yet! I said I would give you an answer after everything is squared away—
Vyrn: Ooh! Something smells good over there! Time for food, food, food!
Lucius: Hey, lizard! Listen until the end when someone's talking to you! Get back here!
Lucius joins the crew, though it's fair to say that most of that decision was made for him by (Captain) and the others.
The Meddlesome Swordsman[edit]
Stopping at mountain village for a breather, the crew learns of a terrifying monster living in the nearby ruins. Lucius runs off without hesitation to fight it.
The crew stops at a village deep in the mountains for a brief rest.
The villagers all look depressed.
Vyrn: Hey, mister. Why does everyone look so gloomy? Did something happen?
Villager 1: Sigh... It's because of the monster that took up residence in the ruins nearby. We've lost many friends to it...
Villager 2: Yeah... We tried to get rid of it, but we didn't stand a chance. We really don't know what else to do...
Lyria: That's awful.
Lucius: A monster that threatens the peace of the people is unforgivable. I will exterminate it this instant!
Villager 1: Gasp! Will you really? You look strong... I think you just might pull it off!
Villager 2: Yeah! You got a glint in your eyes! We're counting on you guys!
Monster: Groooar!
Lucius: Speak of the devil... Very well, you monster. I'll fight anything with a death wish!
Vyrn: H-hey! Lucius! Don't run off on your own like that!
The Meddlesome Swordsman: Scene 2[edit]
On the way to the ruins, Lucius saves a man from a monster. The man, who wants revenge on the monster that killed his wife, rushes ahead into the ruins. Lucius arrives to save him once more from being killed.
Lucius: Haaah!
Monster: Grrr...
Man: I can't believe I'm having so much trouble against these small fry...
Lucius: Hey, you. Are you okay?
Man: Huh? Who are you people? Don't get in my way!
Vyrn: Whoa, calm down there, fella. Why are you doing all this?
Man: That monster took my wife away from me. I have to go to the ruins and get revenge, otherwise she'll never be at peace!
Lucius: Humph. Just leave it to us. The villagers have already asked us to take care of it.
Man: Forget it! I don't need your help! I'll kill that thing with my own two hands!
Lyria: Please wait! It's too dangerous to go on your own! Lucius, please stop him!
Lucius: Let's go after him.
Monster: Groooar!
Man: Ugh... This is it for me... I'll be with you soon, honey...
Monster: Gyaaah!
Lucius: It's too early to give up. Weren't you going to avenge your wife? Snap out of it!
Man: Huh? Why are you here?
Lucius: Beats me. Someone's habit of meddling seems to have rubbed off on me. It's time for our counterattack, (Captain)!
The Meddlesome Swordsman: Scene 3[edit]
The crew is hailed as heroes by the villagers for defeating the monsters at the ruins. When they mention that they had been saved by a swordsman resembling Lucius in the past, Lucius becomes agitated, and he bolts for the airship.
With the monster defeated, the crew escorts the man back to the village.
Boy: Yay! Dad's back! You got revenge for Mom, right?
Man: Yes, and we have these people to thank for that.
Boy: Thank you, Mister Swordsman!
Lucius: Heh... Your father is a brave man.
Lucius: Listen to your father and rely on each other from now on.
Boy: Yup. I will!
Villager 1: We're saved thanks to you! We won't have to live in fear anymore.
Villager 2: Who would've guessed that another swordsman would come to the aid of this village? It's probably just a coincidence though.
Vyrn: Hm? What's this about another swordsman?
Villager 1: Well, the village had come under danger once before, but we were saved by an extremely skilled, elder swordsman.
Villager 2: We were saying how that swordsman kind of looks like you.
Lucius: What was that man's name?
Villager 2: He left without giving it, but I remember he had a beautiful blade with him.
Lucius: I see...
Lyria: What's the matter, Lucius? You look pale.
Lucius: I'm sorry... I need to return to the airship.
Villager 1: Already? But we're about to hold a banquet—
Lucius: I don't need that! I didn't save this village to be rewarded!
Vyrn: Hold on, Lucius! What's with you all of a sudden?
Lyria: I'm so sorry! Let's do this banquet another time if we ever get the chance!
Lyria: Wait for me! Don't leave me behind!
Lucius's demeanor changes drastically after hearing about the mysterious swordsman, causing him to leave in a huff.
The only thing the crew can do is frantically chase after him.
The Flower of Andalise[edit]
The crew arrives at the site of where Lucius's village used to be before it was destroyed by goblins. He vows to take revenge on the one responsible for what happened to his mother and the villagers.
The crew is currently traversing through the meadowlands of a mountain pass.
Parched wooden beams and walls resembling the remains of houses litter the field. Lucius stops in his tracks.
Lucius: Excuse me, (Captain), but could we stop for a moment?
Vyrn: Hm? What's the deal? We're in the middle of a field.
Lucius: To think I'd be here again...
Lucius: I forgot about ever seeing this island again. And now this view has opened the flood gates of my memories.
Lyria: Um... I don't really see anything special. Does this place mean something to you, Lucius?
Lucius: Yes. This used to be a village. I was born and raised here.
Vyrn: Wait, what? So those goblins you're always talking about... They...
Lucius: Yes. They came in droves and razed my village. This is all that's left of it.
Lucius: I had thought not to return until I had purged every last one of them.
Lucius: It was like a dream—a far away goal in my heart. And now that day has come.
Vyrn: You got that right! But you know, we couldn't have beaten them without you!
Lyria: That's right! It was a tough fight, so we were glad to have you there with us!
Lucius: I was listless after that, as if a hole had opened in my heart. But coming here reminded me of something.
Lucius: There's still one last matter to attend to. I have to settle things with the one who started it all.
Lyria: Huh?
Monster: Groaar!
Vyrn: Yikes! Monsters on the loose!
Lucius: Monsters nesting here is a sign that nature has reclaimed these parts.
Lucius: So be it. I bear you no ill will, but when push comes to shove, I will defend myself!
The Flower of Andalise: Scene 2[edit]
Lucius grew to hate his father, Aletheia, after his village was razed by goblins and Aletheia wasn't there to protect them. Now his father stands before Lucius once more in an attempt to explain the events of the past.
A goblin attack on Lucius's village had cost him his mother. In the end he managed to slay the goblins and their king.
Whatever semblance of peace Lucius had found is gone now that he's back in the village. His face once again contorts into a grim mask.
Lyria: Er... What do you mean by the one who started it all?
Vyrn: You're telling me there's another bad guy other than the goblins?
Lucius: Yes. That would be my father.
Lucius: He left us. My mother, my sister, and me.
Lucius: Considering his skill as an accomplished swordsman, I'd like to think that he could've at least saved Mother.
Lucius: I know I sound spiteful, but the thought still haunts me...
Vyrn: Wow... I'm sorry to hear that...
Lyria: But your sword skills are really good too. Was your father the one who taught you?
Lucius: That's right. My harsh training began before I could so much as read or write.
Lucius: At the time I yearned to be like him. It became a source of pride that he taught me with such zeal.
Lucius: Knowing that my hands were responsible for felling the king of those fiends makes it all the more painful.
Lucius: I was merely a journeyman when I accomplished that feat. It should've been nothing for my so-called master swordsman father...
Lyria: ...
Vyrn: Hmm... So even though he was an enthusiastic teacher, why did he leave your village?
Lucius: I was too young to remember everything that happened, but he became enamored with a certain sword and sought to claim it.
Lucius: He made a contract with a wealthy patron, and one of the conditions was that he had to leave the village.
Lucius: It's possible that he's become an agent for hire somewhere in the skies. That cur valued riches over family.
As Lucius finishes speaking, a figure slides out from the shadows of a broken pillar.
???: Gyahaha. That's some mouth you got there, boy. You think you can say whatever you want now that you're all grown-up?
Aletheia not in crew
Lucius: ...!
Vyrn: Ack! I had no idea he was even there! Who's the old guy?
???: ......
Lucius: His eyes are as untamed as ever.
Lucius: That's my father, Aletheia.
Lyria: Really? That's the man we were just talking about?
Lucius: Who would have guessed I'd be seeing you again.
Aletheia: Isn't that the truth. I hadn't planned on ever coming back here either...
Aletheia: It felt like something was calling me back, and so here I am. A family reunion never crossed my mind.
Aletheia: But this works out well. I was just thinking that it was time to face up to the past.
Aletheia is a crew member
Lucius: ...!
Vyrn: Huh? Is that you, Aletheia? Did you follow us from the ship or something?
Aletheia: ...
Lucius: His eyes are as untamed as ever.
Lucius: That's my father, Aletheia.
Lyria: Really? I never would've guessed!
Lucius: So we meet again... You were even on the ship all this time.
Aletheia: Harrumph. Do you know how much trouble I went through to conceal myself?
Aletheia: But now that we've landed here, I figured it was time to come face to face.
Lucius: Is that so... Then you can start by apologizing to Mother and Teena!
Lucius: Apologize to the villagers who are no longer here! And finally to me!
Lucius: There are no gravestones, but everyone's bones rest under our feet.
Lucius: Even if I have to dig up each and everyone of them, I'll make sure you apologize to them all!
Aletheia: Lucius...
Lucius: You could have saved Mother had you still been there! It pains me to have to say that! Why did you abandon us?
Aletheia: Hmm... No, that's not quite right, my boy. I never abandoned you.
Aletheia: You may think of it as nothing more than a cheap excuse, but please hear what I have to say.
Lucius: Hah... Fine. Out with it. But it had better be good.
Aletheia: First we'll need to deal with those monsters to get a little peace and quiet.
Monster: Grrr...
The Flower of Andalise: Scene 3[edit]
Aletheia insists that he had to leave his village and family, but Lucius is not persuaded. His anger boils over, and he prepares to duel Aletheia.
Aletheia: I loved your mother. And of course you and Teena were my all.
Aletheia: I was born in this village. It was my home, and it always will be.
Lucius: Then why did you throw it all away for some sword?
Aletheia: Ah, well... Some things happened... In all likelihood I could've saved the village had I not been chasing after the sword.
Aletheia: But it was out of my hands. I chose what I thought was best at the time.
Lucius: You thought it best to abandon your family?
Aletheia: You know nothing, Lucius.
Lucius: I know plenty! The fact that you knew you could have saved us makes it even worse...
Aletheia: Harrumph. It appears nothing I say can make you understand.
Lucius: Oh, I understand. I understand that you're far worse than I could have ever imagined!
Aletheia: Very well. Let's have our swords speak for us, Lucius. That ought to settle things.
Lucius: Done! We'll finish this once and for all!
Lyria: Oh no! Please stop this, you two!
Vyrn: Hang on, Lyria! Don't butt in! This is a measure of a man's worth!
Lucius: Mother... give me strength!
Aletheia: Come! Strike at me with everything you've been holding in your heart!
The Flower of Andalise: Scene 4[edit]
Aletheia loses the duel against Lucius and reveals that he had left the village in order to lure away an organization that was targeting the family. Lucius has yet to utter words of forgiveness, but his resentment toward his father has begun to subside.
Aletheia: Ungh!
Lucius's blade becomes a blur as he parries Aletheia's greatsword away, sending it spinning out of his hands.
Lucius instantly grabs it out of the air and points it at Aletheia's throat.
Lucius: This sword I hold in my hand is the very sword you sold your soul for. Now you'll pay for it again!
Aletheia: Huff... Huff... It doesn't matter anymore. Any way you look at it, I threw away my family for it.
Aletheia: Gyahaha. For Andalius to take my life would be nothing less than I deserve.
Lucius: Andalius? This sword has a name?
Aletheia: Heh... Indeed. Greatsword Andalius. It bears the name of the flower your mother loved so much.
Andalius isn't only the name of a flower. It also shares its name with a certain jewel.
Shaped into a pendant, the jewel was passed down from generation to generation within Lucius's mother's family.
But it caught the eyes of a certain organization. They burned down her hometown trying to get their hands on it.
Concerned for his wife's well being, Aletheia set the jewel in the sword and left alone, hoping to lure them away.
When he returned from his journey, he found the village forever changed.
Though he had managed to shake the organization, he hadn't anticipated an attack from goblins.
Aletheia: I suppose the only thing that matters is I couldn't save my family.
Aletheia: Humph. It was only a matter of time that I'd get my comeuppance from your pain and suffering.
Lucius: And what of the people who were targeting Mother?
Aletheia: Oh, a few natural disasters here, a few accidents there. It happens to bad people all the time. That's karma for ya.
Aletheia: But the fact that I wasn't the one to bring forth justice only intensified my guilt.
The man who had sought Andalius was also the lord of the town Lucius's mother had been born in.
His status as a social elite protected him from any direct action on the part of Aletheia.
As Aletheia waited for his chance, the lord came down with an illness and passed mercifully quickly.
Lucius: ...
Aletheia: Lucius. The sword belongs to you. Your mother will watch over you.
Lucius: I won't forgive you for what you've done, but...
Lucius: Will you tell me more about Mother?
Lucius collapses onto his knees, his energy spent.
Already caught in a spiral of depression, he reels even further from the cruel truth from his father's mouth.
The possibility of a bright future for Lucius lies in his own hands.
Accursed Scars[edit]
Lucius's long battle should be over, but instead he is plagued by nightmares. In his head the goblins are burning down his village again, and he is powerless to stop them.
Lucius has finally reunited with the father he so hated.
Everything Aletheia had done was for the sake of protecting his wife and the mother of his children.
But even after all he'd done, Aletheia wasn't able to save Lucius's mother from the goblins.
In one fell swoop, Aletheia shook the very core of Lucius's reasoning for hating him, opening the floodgates of nightmares.
Teena is a crew member
Lucius: ...
Lucius: Ngh... Ungh...
Teena: Brother?
Lucius: Ah... Aaah!
Teena: Lucius! What's wrong!
Vyrn: Yikes. Looks like he's having a pretty bad nightmare...
Teena: Yes... It's been happening quite often recently.
Teena not in crew
Lucius: ...
Lucius: Ngh... Ungh...
Lucius: Ah... Aaah!
Vyrn: Yikes. Looks like he's having a pretty bad nightmare...
Villager 1: Aaah! Goblins!
Villager 2: Hurry! Hide the children underground!
Goblin 1: Gehehehe! Run! Run!
Lucius: What! The goblins are attacking the village?
Lucius: No! My village can't be burning! I won't let that happen!
Goblin 2: Gahah! There they are! Get them! Get them all!
Lucius: Haaah!
Goblin 3: Geh? Who are you?
Lucius: Why won't my sword respond?
Lucius: Argh!
Goblin 1: Kehehe! What's wrong with yer sword, boy?
Lucius: Why? I polished my swords skills for this very moment... So why can't I do anything?
Lucius: I killed the goblin king myself... so why can't I do anything now?
Goblin 4: Gehehehe! He's nothing!
Goblin 5: Gaaaah! Burn the village! Burn it!
Lucius: Stop! You think I'll let you have your way?
Goblin 4: ...?
Lucius: Ergh! No matter how much I swing, I get no response!
Lucius: (Captain)! Help me!
Lucius: They're going to burn down my village again! We have to stop them!
Accursed Scars: Scene 2[edit]
In Lucius's nightmare, his mother tells him to flee with Teena in order to save them from a goblin attack. Even now he holds himself responsible for what happened to his mother on that fateful day.
Lucius: Huff... Huff...
Lucius: Of course! I can protect Mother as long as I stay by her side!
Lucius: Mother! Where are you?
Lucius: That's right! She was at home at that time! Come on, (Captain)!
Lucius: Mother!
Mother: Gasp! Lucius!
Lucius: Everything's going to be fine now. I'll protect you with my life!
Mother: Oh, Lucius... If only your father were here...
Teena: Waaah! I'm scared!
Lucius: It's okay, Teena. It's okay. I'll protect you all!
Mother: Sob... I'm sorry, Lucius...
Lucius: Is that... me? The me during the invasion...
Goblin: Gehehehe! Fooound you! Three little piggies!
Mother: No! Lucius! Teena! Run! Now!
Lucius: B-but...
Mother: Listen to your mother! I'll find you later!
Teena: Waaah! I'm scared!
Lucius: Ngh...
Lucius: No... She never found us. I can't leave her this time.
Lucius: I have to stand and fight! Right here, right now!
Accursed Scars: Scene 3[edit]
Lucius, having lost his childhood, is driven purely by thoughts of revenge. Living with tragic memories of the past has clouded his judgment.
Goblin 1: Gahahaha!
Goblin 2: Gahah! Here they are! Get them! Get them all!
Goblin 3: Gahaaah! I wanna hear you scream!
Lucius: Ngh... What can I do to save her?
Lucius: Father! Help us, Father! Aaah!
Lucius: He could have saved Mother had he just been there...
Lucius: That's what I thought. I wondered if my resentment was misplaced, but it became stronger as each day passed.
Lucius: He said it himself that he could have saved the village.
Lucius: And now I find out that his absence had been to draw danger away from her...
Aletheia: I suppose the only thing that matters is I couldn't save my family.
Aletheia: Humph. It was only a matter of time that I'd get my comeuppance from your pain and suffering.
Lucius: And what of the people who were targeting Mother?
Aletheia: Oh, a few natural disasters here, a few accidents there. It happens to bad people all the time. That's karma for ya.
Aletheia: But the fact that I wasn't the one to bring forth justice only intensified my guilt.
Lucius: He protected Mother, even if it was indirectly. There was no way he could've predicted the goblin raid, just as one can't predict an act of the gods.
Lucius: Then is my father not to blame? Should those fiends have been the sole target of my hatred?
Lucius: I... have hunted down so many of those goblins. Perhaps ten times more than the people who lived in the village...

Accursed Scars: Scene 4[edit]
Lucius awakes from his nightmare a new man; his desire for revenge quashed underneath a resolve to move forward. He cries quietly to himself, thinking of all that he has lost, gained, and taken.
Lucius: Ugh!
Lucius: Huff... Just a dream...
Teena is a crew member
Teena: Good morning, Brother. You're all sweaty.
Lucius: Teena...
Vyrn: Whoa! You're drenched! That must've been one heck of a nightmare.
Lucius: ...
Lucius: (It's all clear to me now.)
Lucius: (The one's targeting Andalius, the goblin king, and my father...)
Lucius: (No more recklessness... No more regrets...)
Lucius: (We survived. And for those that didn't, we'll just have to continue on for them.)

A Brother's Love[edit]
After rescuing a young boy and his sister from a pack of monsters, Ryan begins to think of his own sister and becomes jealous of Lucius, whose sister is always around. Ryan then prods Lucius into acting more affectionately toward his sister, causing Lucius to blush.
As part of a mission for Siero, the crew goes to fight off monsters in the forest.
But as they make their way through the trees, they hear a sound off in the distance. The sound of children screaming.
Lucius: Tch...
Ryan: We'd better hurry!
Monster: Grrr...
Brother: S-stay back!
Sister: Aah!
(Captain) and company run toward the commotion. There they find a boy protecting his sister with a stick as monsters steadily creep closer.
Lucius: Be gone, fiends!
Ryan: Hyaaa!
Ryan and Lucius charge in and take on the monsters before anyone else has a chance.
Monster: Graa...
With the flash of a sword and the swing of an axe, the duo fight them off and save the children.
Brother: Thank you!
Lucius: Geez, kid. You thought you could beat those monsters with a twig?
Brother: I'm sorry.
Lucius: Humph... You were pretty brave, though. Impressive.
Ryan: He's right. You did good, kid.
Ryan bends down and ruffles the hair of the kids.
As he does, he looks the boy in the eye and lets out a chuckle.
Ryan: You keep that sister of yours safe, you got that?
Brother: Okay!
The boy gives his sister a big hug and pats her on the head.
(Captain) and the crew watch the adorable scene and smile.
Lyria: It must be nice to have siblings. Now I wish I had some.
Vyrn: Heh heh. Well, these two each have sisters of their own! I'll bet you both know how that boy feels.
Lucius: Yeah, I guess. Anyway let's see these two off to the village.
The crew takes the siblings to the village and then leaves for the ship.
The brother and sister wave goodbye as they watch the crew leave. Ryan smiles back at them, but then he starts to get misty-eyed.
Ryan: Oh...
Lucius: What's the matter?
Ryan: I really wish I could see Kunlun now.
Ryan carefully takes out the handwritten letter from his sister, Kunlun. As he reads it, tears begin to well up in his eyes.
Ryan: Sigh. You all went with me to visit my hometown some time ago.
Ryan: But up until then I had just been sending home money and letters. I hadn't gone to see Kunlun at all, so she was pretty mad at me.
Ryan: That's why she didn't want to speak to me then.
Lucius: Humph... I guess that means you haven't seen your sister in a while, have you?
Ryan: Yeah. But she told me in this letter that she would actually see me next time.
Ryan: Heh, I want to give Kunlun a big hug too. Just like that boy did.

Ryan stares directly at Lucius with a look of envy.

Vyrn: Come on, you don't have to get so worked up about it! I mean, Lucius is—

Ryan: If you can't say it confidently, your sister can't possibly know that you care.
Ryan: You have to take the time to express your love!
The more Ryan tries to get his point across, the more fired up he gets.
Even Lucius, who wasn't really listening at first, realizes Ryan's point and starts to second-guess himself.
Lucius: (I care about Teena in my own way. Isn't that good enough?)
Lyria: Umm, Lucius. Are you okay?
Lucius: Hey Lyria. If you... had a brother, would you want him to be like Ryan?
Lyria: W-well... I'm not sure...
Ryan: Humph. Lyria has never had a brother before, so she has no idea.
Ryan: So then, let's give it a shot!
Lyria: Huh? What do you mean?
Ryan: Hahaha. We're going to practice showing our brotherly affection, of course!
Ryan: How about it? You be the sister, and Lucius will be your brother!

Ryan's words fill Lucius with all kinds of emotions that swirl around inside him.
Lucius: (Ugh... What are these... feelings? What do I do?)
Seeing the worried look on Lucius's face, Vyrn gives him a pat on the shoulder.
Vyrn: Ryan is taking this thing pretty far. Looks like we don't have much of a choice here.
Vyrn: Let's just get this done and head home.
Lucius: Lizard...
Vyrn: Hehe...

Lucius swings his arm around and awkwardly places it on Lyria's head, patting her clumsily.
He then puts on a big brotherly smile for Ryan.

Lucius: Tch. Happy now?
Ryan: Great work! See? You can do it if you try!
Lyria: Hehe. That was very sweet of you, Lucius!
Vyrn: Nice job! Even I was surprised. You really looked the part!
The words of praise from the crew cause Lucius to blush. Feeling his face turn red, he starts to dart away but instead turns to face the crew.
Lucius: Humph. Are you just going to stand there all day? We don't have time for this. Let's go already!
Vyrn: Heh heh. You don't have to act so embarrassed! Hey, wait!
The crew follows Lucius back to the ship, smiling all the while as they think of the great moment they had just shared together.
