Use this tag for questions whose subject is the entire set of rules of the German language (or a major subset, such as grammar, spelling or pronunciation rules). For example this tag is appropriate if you want to ask about:
- authorities for the German language (or one of its variants),
- the scope and existence of certain sets of rules.
Do not use this tag for questions on the content of these rules. If you have a question on a specific spelling, grammar, or pronunciation rule, use a more specific tag.
