Retired in central France since 2011, in an old farm house with 10 acres of meadow and woodland. Keeps me busy! Was Engineering Manager with companies such as ICI, Glaxo, Cyanamid and worked in the aircraft, structural, chemicals and pharmaceuticals engineering sectors.

Have been researching my family history for over 20 years and have three one-name studies registered with the Guild of One-Name Studies; the names being Hawkesford, Oxford and Beamiss. The names of my grandparents, being the backbone of my research are Hudson, Hawkesford, Fawkes and Cummins.
