Switzerland, officially the Swiss Confederation is a federal parliamentary republic in western-central Europe. It is a member of the EFTA and the Schengen Area however not of the European Union.

The official currency is the Swiss Franc (CHF), the country calling code is +41. The official timezone is CET in winter and CEST in summer.

Official languages are German, French, Italian and Romansh.
