Being Dutch and having studied English and Old-Germanic, I'm a fervent etymologist and a keen anglophile! My knowledge extends to knowing enough about German, a bit about French and Italian and a bit less about Portuguese ;) My strength lies in my ability to make/see connections between all these languages and 'explain' the etymology, the sound change, etc etc.
