I am a writer and educator with some 20 years experience teaching English (among other things) currently splitting my time between British Columbia (summer) and Fairhope, AL (winter). I get apoplectic when I encounter comma splices and the wrong form of complement, which marks me as a) upset a lot, b) out of touch with anyone who writes and is under 30, c) somewhat OCD, and d) a retired English teacher.
