1I would usually say, "You're welcome". There are other possibilities but that works in any situation. – chasly - supports Monica Nov 07 '15 at 15:53

Formal: You're (quite) welcome. More informal: No problem. – Justin Young Nov 07 '15 at 15:53

"De nada!" will work too, in most of the US. – Hot Licks Nov 07 '15 at 16:22

Of course, if someone says, in a dreary monotone, "Gee, thanks a lot", it's possible that they're being sarcastic, and likely the less said the better. – Hot Licks Nov 07 '15 at 16:24

@tinysunlight you bet, anytime, no problem, sure, that's okay, all right, not at all... – Elian Nov 07 '15 at 16:25

You could answer "Don't mention it a lot." – GEdgar Nov 07 '15 at 17:49
