Meditated on and off for 50 years, including 15 years (1975-1990) devotedly sitting and mainly 'sleepitating'. Discovered anapanasati May 2017 and have meditated on the beautiful breath 1-2 hours every day since then. I automatically wake around 5.30 am and meditate until 7.10 am and also meditate for about 30 minutes before sleeping. First step is to establish a practice.

I'm not religious but am so attracted to the breath than I'm impelled to meditate. As I write his, I'm drawn to being conscious of warm air touching my nostrils as I exhale and cooler air as I inhale and the inexplicable happens yet again.

Oh, as a job I train teachers to teach Biology and Computer Science in Secondary schools. I'm married with 5 sons and 10 grandchildren. My wife does not like meditation although she has never tried :-)
