I'm trying to create hair for my character. I used curves, which I didn't want to use but every time I use hair particles Blender shuts down on me, and I created a hair texture for it. It seemed perfect but when I entered render view, I noticed that you can still see the scalp through the curves. How do I fix this problem? Do I have to convert them to meshes or is there something I'm missing here? I'm using Blender 2.93 and it doesn't seem to have the "Use For UV Mapping" option like in here: Adding a texture map to a beveled curve or path in case anyone asks.
Also, what does the Path Tracing Sample line mean?
