The only guy with the secret recipe of the Krabby Patty.

The go-to guy when you need a tough guy or a Magnificent Bastard, Clancy Brown's distinctive and versatile voice has given him a luxurious voice acting career, although you can still see him in a variety of smaller roles in live action movies and television. Despite his reputation for playing The Heavy, Brown's coworkers have often cited him as the warmest, most kind-hearted, most sensitive guy on the planet.

    Animated Roles:

    Video Game Roles

    Live Action Roles

    • Viking in Bad Boys (1983) - His film debut. According to the DVD commentary, the director made him try out for the role several times because the director thought he was too gentle and soft-spoken to be convincing as a bad guy.
    • And a Viking named Gunnar in the 2007 movie Pathfinder; I don't think he had a single line in English, but I recognized his voice (duh!)
    • The Kurgan in Highlander - His Star-Making Role
    • Byron Hadley in The Shawshank Redemption
    • Drill Sgt. Zim in Starship Troopers (Yes, he did the role in both live action and animated)
    • Smith in Flubber
    • Brother Justin Crowe in Carnivale
    • Kelvin Inman on Lost.
    • Rawhide in The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the Eighth Dimension
    • John Clay in The Burrowers, a movie about a posse of cowboys fighting subterranean worm-people in the old west.
    • Danziger on Earth 2.
    • Alan Smith in the A Nightmare On Elm Street 2010 remake.
    • Meacham in Cowboys and Aliens, a movie about a posse of cowboys fighting subterranean aliens in the old west. (I'm sensing a pattern here...)
    • Dr. Marconi in the upcoming John Dies at the End film.
