people2002 was a virtual machine running on Ganeti on Debian bullseye. It hosted the service People.wikimedia.org. All shell admin groups had access.
It was once the currently active backend after we switched from people1003 on February 24th 2023.
In June 2023 it was replaced by new machine people2003.
Connecting
Connect to people2002 over ssh by proxying through a bastion (e.g. bast1003.wikimedia.org). As with other hosts, ensure you have ProxyJump configured in .ssh/config (see Production shell access). Then connect as follows:
