Varanus melinus[2] este o specie de reptile din genul Varanus, familia Varanidae, descrisă de Wolfgang Böhme și Ziegler 1997.[3][4] Conform Catalogue of Life specia Varanus melinus nu are subspecii cunoscute.[3]
