Henry Edwards (actor)

Henry Edwards (n. , Weston-super-Mare, Anglia, Regatul Unit al Marii Britanii și Irlandei – d. , Chobham⁠(d), Surrey Heath, Anglia, Regatul Unit) a fost un actor englez și regizor de film. A apărut în 81 de filme între 1915 și 1952. De asemenea, a regizat 67 de filme între 1915 și 1937. Edwards a fost căsătorit cu actrița Chrissie White, cu care a jucat împreună în mai multe dintre filmele sale. El s-a născut în Weston-super-Mare, Somerset și a decedat în Chobham, Surrey.

A regizat în 1934 prima ecranizare a romanului Lord Edgware Dies de Agatha Christie, cu actorul britanic Austin Trevor în rolul detectivului Hercule Poirot.[3][4] Ecranizarea este astăzi aproape uitată și a rămas în memoria colectivă prin faptul că personajul Poirot nu poartă celebra sa mustață.[5]
