Chamaeleo cristatus[2] este o specie de cameleon din genul Chamaeleo, familia Chamaeleonidae, ordinul Squamata, descrisă de Stutchbury 1837.[3][4] Conform Catalogue of Life specia Chamaeleo cristatus nu are subspecii cunoscute.[3]
