Beavis și Butt-head

Beavis și Butt-head (engleză Beavis and Butt-head) este un serial animat de televiziune pentru adulți creat de Mike Judge pentru MTV (sezoanele 1–8) și mai târziu Paramount+ (sezonul 9 încoace, ca Mike Judge's Beavis and Butt-head).[2] Serialul urmărește pe Beavis și Butt-head, ambii dublați de Judge, doi adolescenți chiulangii caracterizați prin apatie, inteligență joasă, umor simplu și iubirea lor de muzică rock metal și alternativ.

Cronologie

Personajele au originat din filmul scurtmetraj al lui Mike Judge din 1992 intitulat Frog Baseball, care a fost difuzat ca parte a serialului de antologie Liquid Television de pe MTV. După ce MTV a cerut un serial întreg, Beavis și Butt-head a durat șapte sezoane din 8 martie 1993 până pe 18 noiembrie 1997.[3][4] Serialul a fost mai târziu readus pentru un al optulea sezon difuzat pe MTV între 27 octombrie și 16 decembrie 2011 dar a fost anulat din nou după încheierea acestui sezon. Un al doilea revival, alcătuit din două sezoane comandate, a fost lansat pe Paramount+ pe 4 august 2022.[5][6]

În timpul difuzării inițiale, serialul a fost lăudat pentru comentariul satirical și dur asupra societății dar a atras și criticism pentru o presupusă influență negativă asupra adolescenților. Au fost produse diverse media, printre care filmul cinematografic Beavis și Butt-head cuceresc America lansat în 1996. Un al doilea film, Beavis and Butt-head Do the Universe, a fost lansat pe 23 iunie 2022 pe Paramount+.[7]
