| A primal beast with two heads and four arms. The face that tilts upwards keeps watch over the skies and the face that tilts downwards keeps watch over the Otherworld. Ryomen Sukuna was created to prevent any creature from ever nearing a pair of shrines. These shrines seal off a rift leading to the Otherworld, which has marred the skies since the beginning of days. However, over the years, Otherworld energy seeping out of the rift ate away at the primal. To keep itself from going on a destructive rampage, Ryomen Sukuna returned to its core state. It is awakened when a number of factors align, including the breaking of the seal, the surging of Otherworld power into the skies, and the arrival of Lyria. Eventually, Ryomen Sukuna uses its own core to reseal the portal to the Otherworld, losing its own body and mind in the process. |
