General revelation, or natural revelation, refers to knowledge of God gained through natural means: such as the human conscience, philosophy and reasoning, or the observation of nature. It is primarily based on Romans 1:20 and Psalm 19:1–6.
It is contrasted with special revelation, such as the Bible.
